Tip of the Month --
May 2012
Mac
You can use the Windows update process on a Mac running Parallels Desktop without compromising the Windows setup. It's separate from any updates made by Apple to the Mac operating system, or updates to the Parallels program itself. This is because the virtual copy of Windows is designed to work as if it resided on a physical PC.
PC
IE 9 has a unique option for opening websites with great efficiency. From One Box (formerly known as the address bar), pin a website by clicking on the icon to the left of the web address and dragging it to the taskbar. Now you can launch the site without first having to open Internet Explorer.
Remember, you can always find old tips in the Tips archive. (see link at the bottom right of this yellow box.)

The ACC and the Computer Learning Center are under the umbrella of the Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation department.
