Tip of the Month
February 2010
The removeable battery in laptops may soon be gone. Dell’s high-end Adamo has used the sealed type since early last year and Apple followed with its own high-capacity sealed type in the MacBook Pro. Now almost all Macs have the sealed-in. Makers say that this ennables higher capacity without added heft and this is what most users want. Plus, Apple claims battery life up to 5 years which it says is longer than most users keep their computer. Let’s hope so since Apple often leads the industry in removing components.
