Users' Group Programming and Class Survey

Hi everyone. We hope you all had an enjoyable summer. We also hope you’re enjoying the programming we’re providing for the CLC User Group. We want to keep providing timely presentations and we need your input to do this. We would appreciate your taking a little time to answer the requests below and click the Submit button to submit your responses.

Additionally, we would like to see more User Group members take advantage of our class offerings. Having a table at the Farmer’s Market has given us a lot of community exposure, and we’ve had several offers from various people to do both user group presentations and classes for us.

Therefore, we want to hear from the membership on topics pertaining to both our classes and class structure and our user group programming, so that the CLC can meet the needs of its User Group members and offer classes at all levels and subjects to appeal to people inside and outside the CLC.

A. Users' Group Attendance

This survey is designed for people who attend (occasionally or frequently) one of our Users' Groups.

Which Users' Group do you attend? Your responses to the following questions will be reported to the appropriate Users' Group Administrator (PC or MAC).

PC Users' Group
MAC Users' Group
Neither
Both

B. Classes/Workshops

1. What topics, if any, do you want to learn about in-depth in a several class format (new topics, as well as more in depth classes currently being offered)? Will you attend if these classes are offered? (You can review the CLC class schedule here.)

2. What topics do you want to learn about that would require a one or two session workshop-type of class and are you willing to attend for a small fee?

C. User Group Programming

1. What types of programs have you enjoyed and would either like to hear more about the subject, or a sub-subject around this topic?

2. What topics would you like to have presented that haven’t been presented yet?

3. What areas do you have enough knowledge in to offer a presentation? NOTE: You don’t have to be an expert to do a presentation – just be able to present information in an organized format. Keep in mind we have all levels of users, so it can be basic or more advanced. You also don’t need to do a full one and one-half hour presentation. If, for example, several people had knowledge on a topic, each could do a small portion of it or we can lump several somewhat related topics together. We’ve had very good turnouts to both the PC and new MAC User Groups because we have members who want to keep learning. This group is meant to share information internally, as well as get information from outside speakers. This means you should try your best to think of how you can present a small portion to a full presentation to the group. This would really help with continued great programs.

a. Would you be willing to do a Users' Group Presentation?

Yes
No

b. If yes, to which group?

c. Please provide your contact info so we can discuss and schedule your presentation.

d. Please describe your topic or topics and the amount of time you would need (meetings are one and one-half hours with a ten minute break)

Can we also note that you may have outside acquaintances that would enjoy making a presentation to our group. If you do, let us know and we will contact them. There are a lot of people with a vast amount of expertise of one sort or another regarding computers, who would enjoy coming to speak to us. They don’t have to be an expert either, just knowledgeable.  Let us know by inserting the information in the box above (Question C. 3. c)

Thank you for your time and attention to completing this survey.
